If I had a nickel for every time Mihoyo made a storyline about breaking a population out of a collective dream/consciousness, I’d have at least 4 nickels- which isn’t a lot, but Mihoyo what the fuck
#honkai impact#genshin impact#actually no- 4 is starting to be a lot#what’s with Mihoyo’s vendetta against hive minds???#and why’s every scientist trying to advance human evolution in a Mihoyo product some puppy torturing lunatic#I genuinely find it really weird that they try and make it seem like advancing human evolution and unethical practices are somehow tied#like I’m sorry- I thought the problem with Mobius was that she disregards safety and doesn’t care that most of her experiments are lethal#not that she made a super soldier serum#I thought the problem with Dottores was that he kidnapped and tortured children#the cloning himself thing is cool#I don’t give a shit about what he does with his own body#it’s just kinda weird to me that Mihoyo seems to take the stance that altering the body medically is a sin against nature#though now that I’m thinking about it I’m pretty sure I remember their being a religion from China where your body is a gift from your#parents and altering it at all is seen as disgracing them#including cutting your own hair#but considering the amount of characters in Genshin with cut hair and piercings I don’t think that really applies here#I really wish Mihoyo would actually bother to explore genetic alteration in a non-axe murders setting#like stem cell research and agriculture#cuz it’s not inherently bad
